Indigenous Breeds:-

  • Cattle:- Siri, lulu, achhami.
  • Buffalo:- Lime, parkote
  • Goat:- Khari, chanyra, sinhal
  • Sheep:- lampuchhre, Kage, baruwal, bhote
  • Poultry:- Sakini

Exotic Breeds:-

  • Cattle:- Holeistein fresian (highest milk producing), Jerssey (Highest fat), Sahiwal (highest lactose), red sindhi
  • Buffalo:- Murrah (most common, efficient milk producer), Surti, Nili-rabi, jaffarbadi
  • Sheep:- Merino/golden footed (highest wool production), Lincoln, Leicester, Rambouiller, Debouillet.
  • Goat:- Jamunapari, Kashmari, Barbari, Bengal beetle, boarl (largest)
  • Pig:- Hamshire, porkshine, Landrace, Duroc, Berkshire

दूधलाई लगातार रुपमा चलाउदै र उमाल्दै यसमा भएको पानीको मात्रालाई आंशिक रुपमा वाष्पिकरण गराएर तयार गरिएको अर्ध–ठोस (Semi solid) दुग्ध पदार्थलाई  खुवा भनिन्छ ।
